1) How do I get started?
You can either call Virginia to talk about your website requirements, or order your website on this website, through the PAYMENT page by using a secure online payment system (via PayPal). On receipt of your payment, Virginia will call you to schedule a time to meet to begin working on your project.
Or, send an email, if you have questions or would like Virginia to contact you.
2) What will my custom website cost?
Typical custom websites that I design for financial professionals cost between $1200-1600. Larger financial firms often require more content and more design features, and can cost between $1500-1900 depending on your requirements.
3) How much work do I have to do – and how much page content must I provide?
My goal is to make this process easy for my clients. I will interview you (provide you with written notes at the end of each meeting) to gather information I need in order to design for you. I provide copyright-permission stock photos (I search and find photos and graphics that work for your design and brand). I suggest page structure and important links, in addition to marketing messaging and headline text.
You don’t need a lot of content to have a great looking website. I will ask you for your BIO/a bit about you, along with a list of services that you provide. I can provide you with questions that you can answer that will create content for your pages.
4) How long with this take? When will I receive my completed website?
As soon as I receive your deposit payment, I begin working on your project. I’ll interview you for the information that I need in order to come up with an appropriate design suggestion that fits your business and brand image. In most cases, I can deliver your website within 5-7 business days of receiving your information.
5) Who owns my website?
You own it. I believe your website is an important asset of your business.
Unlike many website services, I do NOT hold your website hostage, nor do I charge you unnecessary fees. You won’t be required to pay monthly fees to keep your website live on the internet. When you purchase one of our websites, I register your website domain name in YOUR name. I’ll then provide you with the account information you need to assure you have ownership and control over your website domain name and files. You have perpetual use of your website.
You have ownership of your website and copyright on images and content that you provide. There are no subscription or licensing fees. Due to our licensing agreements with our providers, you may not resell your website, or use copyrighted images that I provide on your marketing materials without the stock photographer’s permission.
For more information, see the Terms of Service.
6) How much will it cost to maintain my website live on the internet?
There are NO monthly subscription fees or hidden fees related to your website. I help you purchase your domain (website) name and hosting service for you (in your business name and ownership), and your hosting account includes email.
You’ll receive an email notification to renew in 10 months. Your renewal fees are approximately $96 for hosting annually after the first year. Domain name registrations are typically $10-13 annually. Services provided by Catch8.com.
7) Can I add pages, or special features, to my website later on?
Yes. The website you receive includes a “content management system,” which allows you to login to your website from any internet browser and edit/add pages, photos, etc. You can grow your website to as many pages and blog posts as you like.
If you prefer, you can hire me to make changes to your website. My rates to make future design and content changes on your website is $50/hour, pro-rated to the quarter hour after the first 1/2 hour. Minimum project is 1/2 hour.
